Katariina Marttinen

Katariina has a background in law and management consulting. She holds a Master of Laws from the University of Helsinki, specialising in Corporate and Contract Law, with a minor in Industrial Management and Engineering from Aalto University. Before joining OpenOcean, Katariina worked at Boston Consulting Group as a Visiting Associate and later as an Associate, working on strategy and process optimisation projects across various industries. She gained legal experience as an Associate Trainee at White & Case, working on cross-border transactions and debt finance, and at Borenius, supporting the M&A and Private Equity team in domestic and international deals. At OpenOcean, Katariina is responsible for coordinating value creation activities across the OpenOcean portfolio companies. She also manages the legal administration of OpenOcean’s funds and oversees the funds' policies. Additionally, Katariina leads OpenOcean’s ESG and compliance efforts, working closely with portfolio companies to support their sustainability initiatives.
