Taneli started his journey in venture capital back in 2018 when he joined OpenOcean's finance team. Today as Finance Director, Taneli is responsible for OpenOcean's financial management and compliance. Taneli also has an active role in ESG matters and sustainable finance at OpenOcean. Taneli holds a master’s degree in accounting from Aalto University School of Business and has previously worked as a management consultant at KPMG. In his Master’s thesis, Taneli studied the use of RPA in Finnish listed companies. In his free time, Taneli enjoys outdoor sports, including (but not limited to) climbing, free skiing, hiking, cycling and scuba diving.
